Michelle Labayen has been practicing Consumer and Bankruptcy law for more than 16 years. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), and the National Association of Consumer Attorneys ( NACA). In addition, she is a Max Gardner Bootcamp graduate. Extensive experience has given Michelle a thorough understanding of bankruptcy, including: Chapter 7 Chapter 13 Adversary Proceedings Litigation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act Litigation under the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act Experience working for National Banks has enabled Michelle to have a thorough understanding of the legal practices of credit card companies and foreclosure firms. She has represented bankruptcy clients who were selling their properties under Section 363, and provided legal assistance in commercial property sales. Michelle is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and now Florida. Her reputation precedes her as an aggressive advocate pursuing debtor’s rights in regards to the Automatic stay of the Bankruptcy Court and the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act (FDCPA) and Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA).
