"The Diamond District finally has a finer dining option, thanks to the recent opening of Re Sette. Owner Yagur Sheinman was a gold and diamond importer, and his sense of gothic opulence runs throughout the rich, dimly lit space – think cupis and candelabras. You’ll need two Del Re pizzas to start, since the thin-crust pie – topped with gorgonzola, prosciutto, caramelized onion and fig jam – is the menu’s clear winner. Portions aren't small, allowing you to share an order of the porcini tortelloni in a heart-stopping mascarpone-walnut sauce, in addition to carpaccio and the signature Aragostina salad: Greens with mango, beets and pistachios in a lemon dressing.
