Dr. Maughan is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon who was born and raised in Cache Valley. After attending Sky View High school he served a 2-year LDS mission in Montreal, Canada, speaking French. Dr. Maughan continued his studies at Utah State University where he met his wife Rachel and graduated with honors. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended medical school at Midwestern University/Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ. During medical school Dr. Maughan was involved in many leadership positions, both locally and nationally. He served on the AOA Board of Trustees, the Bureau of Medical Education and as a member of the Oregon Medical Board. After a transitional internship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, OR, Dr. Maughan completed Dermatology Residency training at Samaritan Health/Silver Falls Dermatology in Salem, Oregon followed by a Mohs Micrographic Surgery fellowship.
