Okay so there is a difference between them, however, in the end, it’s really semantics in my opinion. What’s different between a videographer versus a cinematographer, is the videographer shoots the world as it is, ie. wedding videos, corporate training videos, testimonials, client reviews, product highlight videos, etc. This type of video mainly points and shoots, where the videographer shows up with his/her camera and maybe some lights, and not too much other planning goes into the production. Don’t get me wrong, there is a time and place for this type of production and it’s justified entirely of course.
