The McShin Foundation , founded in 2004, is a full-service Recovery Community Organization (RCO) committed to serving individuals and families in their fight against Substance Use Disorders and the stigma surrounding them. An RCO is defined as having resources such as halfway houses, transitional recovery houses, opiate detox, and being connected with alcohol and drug rehabs, addiction treatment in Richmond VA , and aftercare. While providing the tools for recovering individuals to create positive lifestyles, we aim to spread the word of recovery and educate families, communities, and the government regarding SUDs. McShin is the only RCO in Virginia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Peer Recovery Support Services (CAPRSS). We offer a 28-day recovery program and sober living in recovery houses.
