Leitelt Brothers Brass and Aluminum Foundry: We now pour brass sand castings using no -lead alloy, CDA 89833 (Federalloy), for all of your no lead casting requirements Benefits: Good machinability, enables production engineers to tailor any CDA89833 no lead alloy to their own specific requirements. The castings have good polishing and plating characteristics too. In additon it has better castability at lower temperatures which results in lower costs to end users. It also assures that elongation approximates its leaded alloy counterparts, "no burn-in" feature enables CDA89833 castings to have more definition which results in crisper markings and more legible identification numbers.
