I have sent this twice before maybe the 3rd time will be the charm. I am trying to find a way to send an 85yo veteran to the beaches of Normandy for one last time. He & one other comrade were the only ones who made it out alive from his whole platoon. Story aired May 31st 2010 by Chris Wright 918-798-0956 on KOTV 6 Ok. Hi name is Duddley Hornbeck 918-342-5819 & has been married for 62yrs to Helen & had not spoke about his war experience for 60yrs.Stated he needed to talk about it now so people can remember the sacrifices that were made for people to have their freedom today. So few that fought that war is alive today. He was asked if he had ever been back to the beaches of Normandy & said no but even to this day if he was given the opportunity he would go there. If I had the means to send him there I would. So, I am contacting you to see if you would send him there. He is unaware that you have been contacted.
