Buying a Duffel Bag You need to decide what your using it for. Short trips, hunting, fishing, gym the list goes on. Then you need to find a size that will fit your needs. These kind of bags are quite interesting because of the added accessories. Like the adjustable shoulder straps, pockets inside or outside, foam rubber liner to protect what you have in it, plastic liner for moister or dirty shoes, handles, zipper out side pockets. I have a couple of duffel bags that I use. I have a medium size one that is bright red that I use for overnight and weekend trips. The bright red makes it easy to spot, not that I am checking my luggage very often for weekend trips. For longer trips, I have a pair of large duffel bags that I use. I usually start out with one fully packed and roll the second one up in the first. Once I am at my destination I use the second duffel bag to put all my dirty laundry in. This bag is also where I pack breakable gifts and what not, because the dirty clothes work well as extra cushioning and padding. One of these bags is bright orange (same reason, easy to see and one of a kind) and the other is dark blue.
