The Bohemian National Hall, designed in the Renaissance Revival style and built in 1896, has been an important center for Czech and Slovak culture in New York for more than a century.The Bohemian National Hall (BNH) was originally a Center for Czech and Slovak immigrants and is well known for being a diplomatic, cultural and social center since its grand opening in October 2008. Grandiosely re-opened after a complete and vast restoration during the period of 2003-2008, it became the seat of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic, the Czech Center New York and the Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association (BBLA).
