Our diplomates demonstrate the highest standards of training, knowledge, and expertise in the cosmetic surgery specialty while promoting safe and ethical practice. As the only certifying board that exclusively tests a surgeon’s knowledge and experience in cosmetic surgery , ABCS board certification is reserved for extraordinary surgeons who already possess at least one recognized board certificate, complete comprehensive fellowship training in cosmetic surgery, and pass rigorous written and oral exams. In reality, many cosmetic or plastic surgeons do not qualify to take our board exam because of the very strict qualifications they must meet.
