Christian Counseling for Individuals, Couples, Families and Children Becky Pawley Downey, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in adult, adolescent, marriage, and family therapy, and operate a private practice at Advocate Christian Counseling in Frisco and the Dallas metroplex. While I am professionally trained, my counseling philosophy is firmly founded in Biblical & Spiritual teaching, the centrality of Christ, and reliance on God's Holy Spirit. Becky has a Master of Arts degree from Amberton University in Counseling with emphasis on Marriage and Family. And she has also completed training from: The Institute of Biblical Counseling, Sexual Abuse I and II Elijah House School of Counseling Therapon Belief Therapy LeAnne Payne's School of Pastoral Ministry Theophostic Ministry Intimate Life Ministry SERVE Complex PTSD Treatment Becky has been operating as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist since 1996. Prior to her professional career, Becky volunteered as a lay counselor for over ten years in her church and served for 7 years at a psychiatric local treatment facility for abused children. For the past 20 years Becky has been very fortunate to have made a minimum of 23 mission trips to over twelve foreign countries in several roles including speaking at many women's retreats. Becky considers it a huge honor and joy for one of her clients to reveal his/her heart and life to her and to allow her, along with God, to share in their healing journey.
