An air conditioner is something that we can sometimes take for granted. In the hot summer months in Arizona, our air conditioners are usually on all the time. What most people do not realize is that an air conditioner is made up of many different parts, and that these parts rely on each other to run properly. If a part wears down or breaks, then your entire air conditioning unit may suffer. If this happens you will want to get a technician to come out for air conditioning repair . The Parts of an Air Conditioner The first step to understanding why air conditioning repair is so important is to know how your air conditioning unit works. Listed below are some of the different parts of the air conditioner and their function. · Expansion valve- controls how much refrigerant goes into the evaporator · Compressor- a pump that pressurizes the refrigerant · Condenser- coils that move the outside air inside, or move air to the outside · Evaporator- coils that will move heat inside our home, or will move heat outside your home · Air handler- fan that blows the cooled, or heated, air into the ducts in your home As you can see there are many different parts of an air conditioner. What is listed above is only a few of the parts found inside an air conditioner. Each of these parts relies on the other to complete what they were designed to do. For example both the expansion valve and the compressor deal with the refrigerant in an air conditioner. If one of these parts wears out, the other will not work as effectively as if could. It is really important that you conduct air conditioning repairs as soon as you notice the problem. What to do if you notice a problem There are many different things you could do if you notice that your air conditioner is not working as effectively as it could. The first thing you could do is take a look at it yourself, and see if you can fix the problem. While this approach may work for some people, if you do not know anything at all about air conditioners, this may not be the best option for you. The second thing you can do is get a family member to fix it for you. This is a better option if the family member knows what they are doing. However, even the most talented family member may face unforeseen problems when attempting air conditioning repairs. You do not want to make the problem worse. Perhaps the best option is to contact an air conditioning service company, like ACE Home Services. The company will send someone out who is certified in working on air conditioners and will be able to fix any problems you may have. This is probably the best choice you could make because then you will also receive a warranty when they conduct the air conditioning repairs. This will guarantee the repairs that are made, and allow you to move on and not worry about your air conditioner. Contact us for more details: http://www.acehomeaz.com
