Still available are the great massage choices of Swedish also known as relaxation massage, prenatal massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and stretching. New to Western Mountain Massage is the introduction of Hot Stone Massage, a massage treatment in which flat stones are heated, placed on key areas of the body and incorporated with other massage strokes. Hot stone massage is excellent for relieving pain, and promoting deep muscle and tissues relaxation enabling the therapist to achieve results of a deeper massage with less discomfort to the client. Hot stone massage is also great for those who suffer from fibromyalgia, insomnia, and arthritis - to name just a few.
Also new to the practice is the incorporation of stabilization straps which hold the lower extremities during post massage stretching, allowing for greater range of motion, increased results and allowing the client to relax more during the treatment. Stretching has always been incorporated into each session especially for clients with low back pain and clients looking to increase range of motion in hips and legs, as well as post physical activities where stretching can be the most beneficial.
As always each massage is specifically designed with the client’s needs and expectations in mind so no two clients will have the same exact massage experience. Business hours have changed, effective Monday, Aug. 10: Mondays 12-8 p.m., Tuesdays 10-6 p.m., Wednesdays, 10-6 p.m., Thursdays 12-8, Fridays 10-6 p.m. and Saturdays 10-2 p.m. Urgent appointments are can be scheduled outside of these hours.
