Dr. Chelian’s journey to being an orthodontist in New Jersey was an adventure crossing oceans and mountains multiple times. He was born in South India as the youngest of 3 brothers, who are also orthodontists. Starting with humble beginnings after immigrating to San Diego, CA with his family he learned early the importance of education and hard work. After graduating with honors from the University of California, Dr. Chelian moved to the east coast to pursue dental school at Howard University, in Washington, DC. This is where he met his wife, Tirza Valenzuela, who is originally from Chile but grew up in North Jersey. He and his wife moved to Las Vegas, NV where he completed his orthodontic specialty residency at Roseman University and practiced orthodontics in Nevada and Arizona. After living in the desert, far from family for nearly 7 years he decided to move closer to family in Northern New Jersey and Boston.
